Many disaster recovery and business continuity plans are too complicated, thus making them hard to maintain. A plan needs to be workable and executable for the client. When an emergency occurs, there is limited time to make the right decisions and get your company under control. A company needs to resume its most important functions as quickly as possible to keep their customers satisfied and keep revenue lost to a minimum.
Our methodology has three distinct phases: Business Assessment, Strategy Evaluation, and Business Continuity Plan Documentation. As we move through each phase, we determine what needs to be included in each phase. Not every step of each phase is needed by every client.
To assist with the process, we use our proprietary forms that help organize and answer basic questions: who (who performs the recovery), what (what will be done), when (the ordering of procedures), where (where will the recovery take place) and how (what resources, vendors and customers need to be involved). Additionally, we use our proprietary software tool to inventory the IT Assets if the client does not have up to date information, thus eliminating a manual process.
Our focus is on helping you build a usable plan – A plan that a company can pull off the shelf and use when in an emergency mode.
