The Best Buy Recycling Grant Program provides support to help increase the consumer electronics recycling opportunities available in communities across the country. Grants are from $500 to $1,500. These grants are designed to defray costs for events already planned.

Lodestar Foundation

Motorola Enterprise Mobility

Motorola Enterprise Mobility business awards two types of grants: Community and Diversity Grants. Through our grants program, Symbol funds innovative educational programs in academic institutions and community organizations with special consideration given to programs that promote Math, Science, Engineering and Technology. The Diversity Grants must target one or more of the following under-represented groups: African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, People with Disabilities, Gays and Lesbians, Asian Americans, Women and Indigenous/Native populations.

National Geographic Conservation Trust

Funds projects that contribute significantly to the preservation and sustainable use of the Earth's biological, cultural, and historical resources.  The trust accepts pre-applications throughout the year, but they should be submitted at least eight months prior to anticipate field dates.

The Teaching with Primary Sources Program

Eastern Regional Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) Progarm is currently accepting proposals for the integration of primary sources in K-12 education, existing pre-service and graduate-level education curriculum and teacher professional development programs.  Cultural institutions and other community organizations may be partners within these programs.  Grants  from $5,000 to $15,000.

Rosie's For All Kids Foundation

Grants to nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and low-income families. The majority of the Foundation's grants are made through the Early Childhood Care and Education program.

Walgreens Corporate Contribution Program

Provides grants to organizations that focus on access to health and wellness in their communities, pharmacy education programs and mentoring initiatives, civic and community outreach, and emergency and disaster relief.  The largest share grants budget is allocated to programs that address the health needs of community residents.

Home Depot Building Healthy Communities Grant Program -- Application Deadlines for 2010 are June 15, September 15, and  December 15, 2010.  Grants support community improvement projects that include activities such as construction or refurbishment of affordable or transitional housing; building, rebuilding, painting, or refurbishing; increasing energy efficiency or sustainability; landscaping or planting of native trees; community facility improvements; and the development and/or improvement of green spaces. Grants of up to $2,500 are made in the form of The Home Depot gift cards for the purchase of tools or materials.

US Airways supports nonprofit bricks and mortar projects  - The Community Foundation has two annual funding cycles with deadlines of April 1 and October 1. The Community Foundation supports multi-year capital and building campaigns (bricks and mortar building projects only) for nonprofit organizations located in the airline’s hubs of Charlotte, Phoenix and Philadelphia. Eligibility includes organizations that improve the quality and availability of charitable healthcare, education, artistic and cultural organizations and community services.
