Or Better Known as

A Stitch In Time Saves Nine

Following a proactive management and monitoring approach for your information technology not only saves time, but also money.

What is the Difference?

Proactive - Anticipating events and planning ahead.

Reactive - Reacting to events when they occur with little to no planning.

So how can you foresee a future event and be ready for it?

  • Plan for the short and long term.  Create an Information Technology Plan.

  • Work together (Business and Technical People) to determine needs and opportunities.  Align business processes and information technology to the vision and mission of the business.

  • Encourage innovation.  Look for and ask for new ideas.

  • Monitor activities and tasks.  For example, computers have event logs that contain errors, warnings and information.  By reviewing the logs periodically it is possible to assess the health of your system.
